The Arts Competition is an optional event for the vendors to showcase their work, however anyone may enter the arts competition (with exceptions listed below).

There is a $20 entry fee. Each artist may enter only one item.

You may enter a flute in the Arts Competition. If a flute is entered in the Arts competition, it will be judged as a piece of art, not as a musical instrument. (The same flute cannot also be entered into the flute makers competition)

Art competition rules:

The 2023 Arts competition winner cannot enter the 2024 Arts competition.

Judges, Musical Echoes Board members, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter the Arts competition.

The item being entered must bear the image of a FLORIDA PANTHER. NO REAL FLORIDA PANTHER is allowed.

All items must be originals, no reproductions.

All items must be handmade and of Native American style. The item must have been made by the individual entering it.

Each artist can enter only one item. Multiple pieces are allowed if they are part of a homogeneous set. The set will be judged as one item.

Any signature or identifying trademark must be covered. (Using masking tape or similar)

The actual creator of the art piece must present themselves with their work at the main festival tent between 9am and 10am on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Artists will be required to complete a short registration form, 3×5 description card (that the judges will see) and pay their $20 entry fee. The item being entered will receive its entry number and be prominently displayed in the Arts Competition Area.

Judging will be done by a panel of experts. All decisions of the judges are final.

The winners will will receive their awards at the awards ceremony later that day.

Artists may sell their entered item, but may not remove it from the Arts Competition Area until the competition is over and the awards have been presented.

Artists must claim their entry from the main tent when called (after the competition and award ceremony).

Musical Echoes is not responsible for items left in the main tent.

Everyone entering the competition will receive the exclusive handmade Musical Echoes pewter flute necklace.
